The Pontiac Firebird is an American automobile that was built and produced by Pontiac from the 1967 to 2002 model years. A slanted-front facelift occurred in 1977. Early 1977-built versions were supplied with an off-center scoop. Another production change was that early W72 cars came with the standard 180 hp air cleaner.

MOC 46579 has several functional elements such as opening doors, hood, trunk, movable seats, opening arm rest, and working steering for display purposes (not connected to a steering wheel inside the cabin).
